The Bauhaus was an art school that was established in Germany in 1919 and lasted 14 years until the Nazis shut it down. They unified architecture, interior design, crafts and textiles to the level of fine art. Bauhaus values are designs that were made to be practical and functional before beauty is considered. The Bauhaus style still lives on and inspires today’s design.
